Commercial Director
Tony’s responsibilities as Commercial Director include Finance, HR and Marketing as well as compliance activities across the Company, including quality, information security and safety. One of the benefits of this portfolio is that there is always an opportunity to talk to people across the business. People are the organisation’s greatest asset so we do what we can to encourage wellbeing through regular social engagements.
Tony is a Chartered Engineer and as a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, he chairs the Institution’s Airworthiness Technical Activities Committee. Sales and Marketing Director
A former Royal Air Force engineer, David’s responsibilities as the Sales and Marketing Director include heading up the account management, business development and customer experience teams, as well general duties as a board-member with overall responsibility for sales revenue and customer satisfaction. David works hand-in-hand with Tony on marketing, ensuring our great people and capabilities are marketed to all potential customers. Our customers have demanding jobs and complex challenges to wrestle with daily, and we pride ourselves in being able to help to deliver their core defence capabilities.
David is a member of the European Federation of National Engineering Association and a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. David is married with three children, enjoys hitting a ball around a field, and as much travel as can be squeezed in-between DIY, gardening and grandad duties.elementum.
Head of HR
Emma is our Head of HR. With over 15 years of HR experience in large corporate organisations, she uses this knowledge to evolve the company’s HR processes and practices. Since she joined in October 2020, she has shaped Employee Engagement, re-defined our culture and our benefit provision, among many other things. Emma works hard at introducing initiatives that strengthen the loyalty glue that binds people into the fabric of the organisation. The thing she most enjoys about tlmNexus is the way the company treats its employees. They are treated as trusted professionals. Head of Product Development
Kash is Head of Product Development, managing the complete process from product concept to customer delivery. His responsibilities include Product Management, Solution Design, Engineering Management, Configuration Management and managing Product Support.
Kash’s current product portfolio includes Derive, Approve & Foresight, Observe and our flagship product Resolve. Over the last 10 years under his technical leadership, Resolve's functionality has been enhanced to manage over 40 business processes, and has been rolled out to over 30 different Air systems across Defence Equipment and Support organisations. Being a Certified ITIL EXPERT, Kash helped our SaaS business to adapt ITIL best practices.
Kash is an Engineering graduate in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Madras, and his interest in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence helped him to pursue post-graduation at the University of Sussex, attaining a Master of Science degree in Intelligent Systems.
Head of Customer Support
As Head of Customer Support, Russ is accountable for delivering through-life support to our Customers, encompassing end-user product training, a user-focused first-line
helpdesk and a comprehensive customer integration and support experience. A key element of the role is shaping the service design, overseeing its implementation, then driving support across all stages of the customer’s journey to ensure they achieve a return on their investment.
With over 35 years’ experience working in the UK defence sector, serving in HM Forces as a Royal Air Force engineer and, subsequently, in various defence industry roles, Russ has accrued extensive management experience in the support of aircraft, airborne systems, components and software, with significant exposure to military airworthiness and safety management, policy and regulation. A graduate of Cranfield University, where he attained a MSc in Human Factors & Safety Assessment in Aeronautics, Russ is also a certified practitioner in the disciplines of Customer Success Management, Design Thinking and Change Management.
Russ is married with two sons and, in his spare time, enjoys travel, DIY and watching sport.
Programme Manager
As Programme Manager, Hayley is responsible for the coordination and planning of all projects across the schedule of work; responsible for items in delivery, managing items on the pipeline of work and ensuring we have a resource profile that backs it up. Managing the Project Management Office, she is responsible for a team of Project Managers who work with her to bring this all together.
With over 10 years of project management experience in the software and financial industries, Hayley has worked for both corporate and government bodies, managing projects ranging from application development, client take-ons, migrations and regulatory change. Having previously fulfilled a role of Training Manager, she understands the importance of preparing customers for change. With this in mind, she likes to take an open, transparent and collaborative approach, ensuring that stakeholders are fully prepared, resulting in a smooth transition from one state to another.
For Hayley, an openness to learn and try new ways of working, resourcing projects for success and feeling like one can really make a difference, all make tlmNexus a refreshing and rewarding place to work.
Outside work Hayley says she does like an exercise fad, whether that be training for a half-marathon, trying to find a six-pack (“only one I’ve found so far is in a shop” ), tennis… badminton is her new thing but ask her in six months…
Head of IT
James heads up the Information Technology department here, and is responsible for all internal and customer-facing infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are at the cutting edge, and are compliant with the latest cyber security and ISO standards.
Whilst tlmNexus is a relatively small company, the nature of our business allows us to bring onboard the latest technologies and really innovate in the IT space. Working closely with our development teams, we ensure our systems meet the requirements for developing our bespoke software solutions.
James enjoys his spare time socialising with friends, walking with his Miniature Schnauzer, Boomer, and is a keen amateur racing driver, competing in the C1 Racing Club endurance racing series.
