tlmNexus sponsors 3Spark Racing
tlmNexus takes great interest in sponsoring teams in sporting events promoting teamwork and ingenuity, externally with our sponsorship of Team GB Bobsleigh, but also internally.
We sponsored 3SparkRacing in 2020, co-founded in 2018 by our own James Page. 3Spark competed in the C1Championship, a spec series endurance championship using the Citroen C1 as the racing platform. It is an incredibly competitive championship, attracting amateur racers all the way up to professional racing drivers practicing between big races. The strict rules and very closely matched cars prove to be the perfect ground for practicing race craft.
Covid-19 meant cancelling almost all the races last year, but the team managed to compete at Donnington and Thruxton. While an early incident led the team to retire early from Donnington, they had a successful race at Thruxton, completing in 29th position out of 45 cars. Although this may not sound like a high finish, it was a rare chance to race at the prestigious Thruxton race circuit which attracted an incredible amount of driving talent, including Ben Collins, yes! That's right, the Stig himself! So a great result and 3Spark are very much looking forward to further racing in 2021 with the continued support of tlmNexus.
